Bo Berg Picnic is located in the vicinity of Bashewa. Close enough to Pretoria for a day’s outing. From Woodlands Shopping Centre it is 17.8km east on Garsfontein road extension, then turn left onto a gravel road for 0.8km, turn left for 0.4km. Settled in the shade of a tamed blackwattle forest, with a huge dam in the Pienaars River on the side, it is an ideal spot for a family picnic, with nice braai facilities.
Fishing will always be an attraction, naturally stocked with bass, carp, yellow fish and barbels. Also available are cycling roads for juniors up to 12 years of age, all in the forest shade, which is very important in these days of extreme heat. Please note, cycling with own bikes.

Others may appreciate the absolute tranquility brought about by the special kind of forest silence and the calming effect of nearby water. What is on offer is the venue itself with four braai facilities as per picture, including a water point, ablution blocks, the dam and cycling roads. Everything you might need, you must bring with.
In order to make it a pleasant experience for all the guests, a set of rules is very important. What needs to be achieved by such rules is to prevent the unpleasantness of bad behavior of any kind, and to promote safety and security for all our guests.

This venue is actually a piece of wild nature which must be treated as such. Take into account the combination of a forest, uneven surfaces, rocks and open water, to name a few, it can be quite a dangerous place. It is therefore important to note that entrance to the venue will only happen in the presence of a responsible person, which must be 21 years of age or older. You will have to complete an entrance form, which will contain our rules, our indemnity and your responsibilities. By entering the venue area, means that you have accepted such.
